Naked cowhide means (being without addition, concealment, disguise, or embellishment). A leather with no surface impregnated treatment other than dye which might mask or alter the natural state of the leather. Naked leathers are valued highest by consumers. Drum dyed leathers are immersed in dye and tumbled in a rotating drum, allowing for maximum dye penetration. Drum dyed naked leathers are soft from day one and do not require a break in period.
