By PsychodelicPenguin
I've been eyeing this jacket for over a year since I first purchased my Vespa. Shortly after I had my Vespa, I fell at around 30 mph when it began to rain. I was very cautious afterwards; however once 2011 season started up I couldn't shake the fear of me falling again, and more devastating. After saving up my money, I purchased this jacket! I ended up ordering from Amazon because I got 2 day shipping, and couldn't wait to receive it!The fit-- I am 5'10 and a US size 18-20 on top. However, reading reviews on other sites, people said GoGo Gear sizes are kind of European with leaner fits. I wanted something to wear with jackets and stuff underneath, so I sized up to a 24.It still fits a little big around the torso. this may work well once Fall rolls around and I'm wearing sweaters underneath. There are two inside breast pockets and two outside pockets that hit a little below my breasts. They are kind of awkward to pull in and out of, but the angles are deep enough so nothing falls out while driving. The sleeves are just the right length for me. But when I put on the windcuffs, it feels too short. I wish these were about an inch longer so they won't pull into my thumb webbing. Some women have said they feel the jacket is still a little short. I disagree, I feel like this is a great length. However I am now riding this in the middle of June, so whatever breeze I'm receiving currently feels great than bitter cold. The details--In the picture the lapel may look white, but it is actually reflective material that circles all the way around. That way, people can see you shine from the front and the back! The trench belt is also of reflective material. I actually flipped it over so people can see even more shiny on me while riding. There is armor padding in the back, the shoulders, and in the elbows. I feel like they are pretty sturdy. It does not seem like they can be removed, which is an option in other motorcycle jackets I've researched. Hopefully this will not be a problem. The elbows feel a little low on me, but I think it will still protect my arm from a fall.Overall Im very pleased with this jacket. I really appreciate the work GoGo Gear is creating for protecting motorcycling women with our shape and style in mind.

I love the look of this jacket because it doesn't look for feel like any other motorcycle jacket I've seen. I love the feel of the fabric. It feels soft. It is slightly textured and a little shiny. It has 600-denier polyester abrasion resistant fabric under the top layer of fabric, then a quality satin liner on the inside which makes it look like a fashion coat even when you take it off. My other textile jackets make noise when I walk because the fabric is so rough as it rubs together. This jacket has a zipper on the inside that goes most of the way up to block out the wind between the buttons. There are also two zippered pockets sewn into the lining. They are nice, but I don't like how the manufacturers cut corners by sewing the jacket zipper through one of the pockets instead of just sewing in a narrower pocket. The armor is no joke. I have purchased other motorcycle jackets that had very thin foam pads in the back which I upgraded. Some brands don't even include the back armor. But this jacket has CE rated armor in the shoulders, elbows, and back. I do not have to upgrade the back armor for this jacket. However, there is a zipper on the lining so you can remove it if you want. The jacket hangs on my body well. The shoulder and elbow protection stay put and are not noticeable at all. The back protection is only slightly noticeable, and only if you know to look for it.What I don't like about this jacket is the placement of the belt loops. The pockets are sewn where I would normally like the belt to go. The belt is low on the jacket, around the hips. Maybe this looks nicer on a taller and/or thinner woman, but I am only 5'2" and my weight goes up and down between 165-185. The belt wraps around my big belly: the part of my body I want to accentuate the least. The style I really prefer to purchase is the GoGo Gear Women's Military Motorcycle Jacket, but I'm unable to find it in my size anywhere. I will remove the belt loops and re-sew them higher on the jacket so they lie just under the pockets and bottom buttons so the belt wraps closer to my natural waist line. Then I will be very happy with this jacket. Thanks to the lining zipper, I can access the back of the top fabric to cleanly relocate the belt loops. The sleeves are too long for me, but they are perfect when I flip up the cuffs to expose the reflective material.I just put in my 3rd order for this coat because I'm having sizing issues. I normally wear a size 14 shirt, and thought I should go up a size because of customer reviews. I also want to be able to wear bulkier clothes underneath. But the size 14 was temporarily priced much lower than the other sizes, so I gave it a try. It fit, but was too snug in my arm pits. I have thick biceps. I couldn't comfortably hold my arms out in front of me, so I didn't bother trying it on my bike. I returned it and ordered a size 18. Now this one is very roomy everywhere. Almost too roomy. Even with a sweater underneath, it feels too bulky. So I just ordered a size 16. I'll keep the 18 until the size 16 arrives, then decide which one to keep before I move the belt loops. I am wasting money on return shipping. Since this is categorized as an automotive item instead of apparel, there isn't free return shipping on the jacket, but I have done the same on other motorcycle jackets in the past until I finally decided on the one I want.UPDATE:The size 16 fits perfectly, no altering of belt loops required! I also ordered size 14 of GoGo Gear Women's Military Motorcycle Jacket, but it was too big, especially below the waist. I tried both on for my husband and he didn't like the military jacket on me at all, but said that this trench jacket looks sexy. So it's a keeper!

Saw these on Shark Tank and was immediately impressed. I showed it to my girlfriend and she agreed. Much more pricey than we'd like, but this really is the perfect scooter/motorcycle jacket so you can be ready for business when you arrive. We were a little worried that the jacket wouldn't fit well, however the structure of it makes it work perfectly. Very happy that we got this.
